Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes what data the "Bump & Glucose: GDM tracker" application (the "App") collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.

1. What Data We Collect

Health Data

The App allows you to enter and store the following health-related data:

• Blood glucose levels (blood sugar)
• Insulin type and dose
• Food intake and bread units (carb exchanges)
• Physical activity (type, duration)

Profile Data

• Name
• Weight
• Age
• Diagnosis duration

All of this is stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud, in your personal iCloud account. It is never transmitted to our servers, and we have no access to it. The App has no registration or sign-in, so we never receive your name, phone number, or email address.

2. Camera Usage

The camera is used exclusively for recognizing glucometer readings via optical character recognition (OCR) technology. Photos are not saved — only the text recognized on the meter display is processed in real time.

3. Microphone Usage

The microphone may be used for voice data input. Audio recordings are not saved and are not transmitted to external servers.

4. How We Store Your Data

Local Storage

All your health data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData technology. Data resides in the app's sandbox and is inaccessible to other applications.

iCloud Sync

If you use iCloud, your data is synced across your Apple devices via CloudKit — Apple's cloud infrastructure. Data in iCloud is encrypted and managed according to Apple's privacy policy.

5. What We Do NOT Do

• No analytics collection — the App contains no analytics or tracking tools.
• No advertisements — the App contains no advertising modules.
• No data sharing with third parties — your data is not sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties.
• No third-party trackers — no Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or similar tools.
• No account required — the App has no registration or sign-in, and sends no data to servers of our own.

6. Your Rights

You may at any time:

• Delete individual records through the App's interface.
• Delete all data — through Settings > Data > Delete all data in the App. This erases every record and activity, your profile, and your target levels and measurement schedule from the device; the iCloud copy is removed on the next sync.
• Delete the App — deleting the App from your device permanently removes all local data.
• Delete iCloud data — through your device's iCloud system settings.

7. Security

We use Apple's standard platform security mechanisms:

• App Sandbox
• Data Protection (encryption at rest)
• CloudKit encryption
• HTTPS for all network requests

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of changes through an app update. By continuing to use the App after changes, you agree to the updated Policy.

10. Medical Disclaimer

The App is a personal diary tool for tracking blood glucose, insulin, and meals. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. The App does not replace consultation with a physician, endocrinologist, or obstetrician-gynecologist. Always consult your healthcare provider before making any decisions related to treatment, insulin therapy, or dietary changes.
