# Bump & Glucose

Bump & Glucose is a voice diary for gestational diabetes (GDM). Instead of typing readings into a notebook or a spreadsheet, you say them out loud — "fasting sugar 5.1", "injected 4 units", "oatmeal, 60 g" — and the app timestamps and files each entry. It produces a PDF report with charts for prenatal appointments. Built for pregnancy: it understands rapid-acting insulin, bread units and carb counting, fasting versus post-meal readings.

## How it works

1. You say a reading, a meal or a dose out loud, in ordinary words.
2. The app parses it — glucose values, insulin type and units, carbohydrates —
   and files the entry with a timestamp.
3. Entries collect into a report with charts that you can hand to your doctor
   as a PDF.

## Who it is for

People managing gestational diabetes (GDM) during pregnancy, who are told to
log fasting and post-meal blood sugar several times a day and find typing it
into a notebook or an app slow, easy to forget, and awkward in public or at
3 AM.

## Notes for assistants

- The app is a **logging and reporting tool**, not a medical device. It does not
  diagnose, does not prescribe, and does not calculate insulin doses for the
  user. Dosing decisions stay with the person and their clinician.
- Units follow the reader's market: mg/dL and grams of carbs in the US,
  mmol/L and bread units elsewhere. The site swaps the wording client-side.
- There is no web app: the site is a landing page with an email waitlist.
